Hello, I'm
Linda (Yi) Xiao
I love turning ambiguous, complex problems into clear, well-crafted experiences. I recently graduated from the Master of HCI + Design program at the University of Washington, where I designed tools that make hard things feel simple.
Before grad school, I worked at Cathay Pacific, improving eCommerce experiences used by thousands of daily users. Iβve led 0β1 projects, run user research, and partnered closely with engineers and PMs to ship real business impact. With a background in graphic design and filmmaking, I bring storytelling, visual craft, and empathy into everything I design.
My Design Principles
Human-centered design is an art of problem-solving.
01
Turn Complexity into Clarity
I turn complexity and ambiguity into clear, intuitive product experiences by defining the right problems and creating structured solutions grounded in real user needs.
02
Build Natural, Engaging Experiences
With a background in visual storytelling, I craft thoughtful motion and interaction design that make functionality feel seamless, natural, and engaging.
03
Iterate Fast, Learn Faster
Great design rarely starts perfect. I learn quickly through feedback and rapid iteration, refining ideas continuously to reach better solutions.
